christmas countdown competitions.

Christmas is creeping closer and closer and some of my favourite websites are doing various promotions and competitions for the festive period, so I thought I'd share with you my favourite ones so you don't miss out.

They are mostly done in an advent calendar style where you can win something different or there is a new kind of discount every day.

The She Said Beauty advent calendar is one I must do every year. You are told the value of the prize, and each day it increases, so you have the option to only enter for the more expensive prizes. As a beauty hoarder this is perfect for me and I make sure to check back daily.

One I just recently discovered and automatically fell in love with (I'm not even sure if this is for Xmas, or just general competitions) is the InStyle prizes. There are pages and pages of competitions to enter and so many fashionable prizes to be won...yes!

As a tall girl, I sometimes specifically look for items of clothing catered to someone my height, so with Long Tall Sally giving away daily prizes, I thought I'd give myself a helping hand with my constant need for new clothes.

With the influence of one of my good friends, I've recently become one of those people who goes to a lot of gigs. It is most definitely an expensive hobby, so Eventim giving the chance to win tickets to some shows and tours is simply awesome.

Linking back to She Said Beauty, as well as You Beauty Discovery selling a beauty advent calendar, they are also doing an online advent calendar where you can win bundle prizes from amazing beauty brands. Anything that allows me to try and discover new and different products is always a win.

Some of my favourite brands like Glossybox, Steamcream, Tresor Paris and Live Nation UK are also doing daily giveaways on their Facebook pages so be sure to 'like' and check those out.

As we're now in the autumn/winter season, I've been steering clear of fresh, fruity scents...I find them to be more suitable for the summertime. Instead, I'm attracted to more mature scents, and believe it or not, Justin Bieber makes me smell grown and sexy.

'The Key', inspired by unlocking Justin's connection to his fans, is made up of floral, spice and wood notes. With strong hints of jasmine and vanilla, it is a sophisticated scent that lingers on the skin. This is most definitely my signature scent for this season.

 

The bottle itself is also very minimal, made up simply of white and gold. It also holds the key charm that Justin is known to always wear.

#LongaConga - children in need.

On Tuesday night, I found myself on an ice rink in my skates trying to do the conga...

Having opened it's doors just a couple of weeks ago, Canary Wharf Ice Rink was home to over 300 people as they broke the Guinness World Record for the longest conga on ice.

In association with Tresor Paris for BBC Children In Need, Pudsey led the conga line with 353 people right behind him as they did the conga for 5 whole minutes...without breaking the line...on ice.

It was an incredible sight to see as so many people were able to get involved, from young children to professional ice hockey players and celebrities.

Tresor Paris have also created a jewellery line in aid of Children In Need. With 25% of each purchase going to the charity and all pieces ranging between £19-£29, you can be sure to do your bit while staying in style.
